Live Closed Captioning

Proud to Sponsor KY3
undefined

Aaron Sachs & Associates, P.C. has been the exclusive sponsor of Live Closed Captioning on KY3 in Springfield, Missouri, for more than 20 years now. We have also had the opportunity to be the exclusive sponsor of Closed Captioning on two newer stations in Springfield: KOLR 10 (CBS) and KSFX (Ozarks FOX).

Thanks to Live Closed Captioning and advancements in this technology, it is easier than ever for people with hearing challenges to enjoy television broadcasts and get the news they want from the source they prefer. What is Live Closed Captioning compared to typical CC, though? Live Closed Captioning or LCC means a trained person transcribes the local news as it happens in real time. This unique system helps ensure that no important details in a news story are missed, which can happen with some auto-captioning systems. With LCC, KY3 provides a critical link to communication, information, education, and news for those who are deaf or hearing impaired, and we are proud to be a part of that mission.

Here are interesting statistics: About 5% of Americans are deaf or hard of hearing (HOH), but approximately 15% of KY3’s viewing audience is in this demographic.

Deeply committed to community service, Aaron Sachs & Associates is honored to assist deaf and hearing-impaired people in Springfield, Missouri, and beyond. Attorney Aaron Sachs was privileged to have also been the sponsor for Closed Captioning on KSN in Joplin and the Four States area. In recognition of his ongoing support, the Deaf Awareness Group honored Aaron Sachs for his service to the deaf community in 2006 (see image above).

  • “My husband was in a car accident, we called Aaron Sachs, and are very glad we did! First of all, they sent someone to our home to interview my husband, so he did not have to drive all the way to Springfield to their office while he was in pain.” - Former Client
  • “I was rear-ended by a non-insured driver. My car was totaled and I ended up having surgery on my shoulder. I was thrilled to get a settlement way larger than I could have dreamed.” - Former Client
