JUUL Lawsuit Attorneys in Missouri
Consumer Action Against JUUL
Only a few years ago, JUUL was the most popular e-cigarette and nicotine vaporizer brand in the United States. However, in 2019, the company announced it would stop marketing and selling in the U.S. due to an influx of lawsuits piling against it, as well as a lack of recognition from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Today, the company is still dealing with those lawsuits. Do you have a claim to bring against them, too?
Aaron Sachs & Associates, P.C. is hearing from potential JUUL lawsuit plaintiffs and claimants across Missouri. If you used JUUL because the advertisements told you they were “safer than cigarettes,” then you might have a valid claim that could become a part of a larger defective product mass tort. We would be happy to discuss your options during a free initial case consultation, so you can see if JUUL owes you money.

Why is JUUL Being Sued?
JUUL rapidly rose to popularity because it was marketed as a “safer” alternative to cigarettes that did not pose as large a health or addiction risk. If that sounds too good to be true, then you should know that it is. Analyses of the vape products have shown that JUUL still contains nicotine, a known carcinogen, and can even contain more nicotine per cartridge than when compared to a single cigarette.
Furthermore, JUUL boasted that the vaporized liquids inhaled when using its e-cigarettes were safer for the user’s lungs than inhaling cigarette smoke. Although this is likely true, it is also true that inhaling vaporized chemicals and nicotine is still dangerous. Severe lung damage and disease can still be caused by frequent vaporization inhalation.
JUUL is being sued for two primary reasons:
- False advertising: Consumers across Missouri and the United States are demanding that JUUL provide fair compensation for falsely advertising that their e-cigarettes were “safe” and “non-addictive.” The company should have reasonably known that the nicotine in the product was still dangerous and could cause someone to quickly become addicted to using it.
- Misleading marketing: JUUL has also been harshly accused of intentionally marketing to children and teenagers, even though it denies doing any such things. JUUL products come in bright colors, had flavors that appeal to children, and were even intentionally placed on convenience store shelves near child-friendly items and within the reach of a child.
What Harm Can JUUL Nicotine Do?
A JUUL e-cigarette might not contain tar and other harmful substances often found in cigarettes, pipes, and cigars. But it still contains nicotine, which can do extensive harm with only a few uses.
Nicotine in a JUUL can cause the following injuries and injuries:
- Cardiorespiratory damage
- Heart failure
- Immune system deficiency
- Lung, throat, and mouth cancer
- Kidney failure
- And more
If you suffered any of these conditions or another serious health issue after you began using a JUUL product, then it might not be a coincidence. You should see your medical provider right away for a diagnosis, which could make a direct link between JUUL use and your illness or injury. Save a copy of your medical records for our attorneys to analyze.
