Sachs Family Scholarship
Aaron Sachs' community service and ongoing commitment to "giving back" includes a scholarship fund at Central Bible College in Springfield, MO. Aaron and his family members, along with several area churches, have donated or raised more than $100,000 to the Reverend William Nelson Sachs Memorial Scholarship Fund created in honor of Rev. Sachs (1921-2006) who was Aaron's father.
Reverend Sachs was born and raised in Jefferson City, Missouri and was called to ministry at the young age of 15. He pastored a number of churches throughout Missouri and rose to hold many leadership positions in the Southern Missouri District Assemblies of God including Superintendent and Executive Prebyter.
Rev. Sachs was not only a student of the bible, but earned both a bachelor's and master's degree, and even taught high school English in addition to pastoring.
He sat on the Board of Directors of Central Bible College in Springfield, which is associated with the Assemblies of God denomination. The mission of the college is to prepare men and women to fulfill their role in the family of God by training ministers and missionaries. A scholarship to this school seemed a perfect memorial tribute to Reverend Sachs, a true man of God, and a wonderful way to continue his legacy by helping young people attend college.
