A Commitment to Bicycle Safety: Attorney Aaron Sachs Gives Free Helmets to Families

In April of this year at the Safe and Sound event,
Attorney Aaron Sachs and his firmed pulled together its resources and aided in the efforts
to distribute free bicycle helmets to Springfield families. In an interview
with KSPR 33 ABC, Attorney Sachs noted that numerous clients have come
to the firm, with stories about how helmets have helped save lives and
prevented their children from sustaining
more serious injuries.

According to KSPR 33’s ABC’s report, about one
bicycle rider is killed each day in Missouri. This staggering statistic undoubtedly
prompted Attorney Sachs to take a proactive stance on the situation.

Prevention & Awareness at Safe and Sound Event

Safe and Sound Saturday was held on April 14, 2015, at the Ozark Empire
Fairgrounds. The event allowed vendors, business owners, and safety advocates
the chance to share ideas and various safety and prevention methods. The
Springfield community was united on that day devoted to promoting awareness
and providing education and resources to families, in particular for those
with young bicycle riders.

Bicycle accidents have been known to cause some very serious injuries, such as:

Traumatic brain injury
Spinal cord injury
Fractures and broken bones
Sprains, strains, and bruises

Research has supported the claims that wearing a helmet can reduce the
impact of a collision, prevent a worse injury, and even save a life. As
