Grant Gorman was born in St. Louis and is a proud military brat, living around the United States and the World in his youth. Grant attended the University of Missouri – Columbia, earning a B.A. in Political Science. After serving a year in administration in the Missouri Department of Revenue, he attended Saint Louis University School of Law, earning a J.D. in 1992. Grant worked as a solo attorney, and then as a partner in the firm of Spalding & Cullen in St. Louis. His practice focused on Injury cases, civil litigation, appellate practice as well as some criminal defense. He then became an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney for St. Charles County. In this role he prosecuted cases ranging from drug offenses to homicide, gaining much valuable first chair jury trial experience.

In January 2006, Grant was appointed as an Administrative Law Judge for the Missouri Division of Workers’ Compensation, and in 2008 he was appointed Chief Administrative Law Judge in the St. Charles Division. As both an ALJ and Chief ALJ he mediated literally thousands of workers’ compensation cases as well as presiding over hundreds of workers’ compensation trials. He was then the first appointment to Division 13 Associate Circuit Judge, 11th Circuit, St. Charles County. After spending one term as an Associate Circuit Judge, He worked as a consultant for workers’ compensation, governmental and municipal affairs, and mediation and arbitration before joining Aaron Sachs & Associates.

Judge Gorman is a recognized CLE presenter on the topics of ethics, evidence, practice & procedure, workers’ compensation and mediation. He obtained Rule 17 mediation certification from the University of Missouri School of Law Center for Dispute Resolution training in 2009 and is a former member of the Mediation and Arbitration Panel at United States Arbitration & Mediation.

He Currently practices in the areas of workers’ compensation, personal injury, and auto accidents at Aaron Sachs & Associates.
