Cancer Research & Treatment

Cancer is now the number one killer of adults under age 85 in the United States; and when all cancers are averaged together, only 50 percent of Americans diagnosed with cancer survive.

Aaron Sachs is pleased to support cancer research and treatment. The impact of cancer has affected family members of Aaron Sachs & Associates, P.C.. In fact, Aaron’s mother died as a result of cancer when he was 15 years old. The following is a brief description of the charities the firm has supported in our fight against cancer.

St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital

St. Jude is the only pediatric cancer research center where families never pay for treatment not covered by insurance. St. Jude continues to be the only National Cancer Institute – funded cancer center devoted solely to children.

Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center

Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center’s interdisciplinary terms of world-renowned scientists and humanitarians work together to prevent, diagnose and treat cancer and related diseases. Located in Seattle, Washington, Hutchinson Center researchers, including three Nobel laureates, bring a relentless pursuit and passion for health, knowledge and hope to their work and the world. With science that spans the full spectrum of cancer research, the Center is uniquely qualified not only to discover, but to implement lifesaving breakthroughs. As a testament to its research excellence, the Hutchinson Center receives more peer-reviewed funding from the National Institutes of Health than any other independent research center in the United States. This bedrock of support has enabled many research accomplishments over the past three decades.

The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center

The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center-James Cancer Hospital (OSUCCC-James) is one of the nation’s largest and most innovative cancer centers designated as fully comprehensive by the National Cancer Institute (NCI). Ranked by US New and World Reports as 15th in the USA and number one in Ohio, “The James” has a 160 bed cancer hospital and over 275 funded faculty researchers from 14 of the University’s 18 colleges focused on preventing and curing cancer in children and adults. The OSUCCC-James is only one of the five cancer centers in the country awarded contracts for Phase I and Phase II early cancer drug testing from the NCI. There is a strong emphasis on experimental cancer drug development, human cancer genetics and the prevention of cancer.

  • “My husband was in a car accident, we called Aaron Sachs, and are very glad we did! First of all, they sent someone to our home to interview my husband, so he did not have to drive all the way to Springfield to their office while he was in pain.” - Former Client
  • “I was rear-ended by a non-insured driver. My car was totaled and I ended up having surgery on my shoulder. I was thrilled to get a settlement way larger than I could have dreamed.” - Former Client
