Can the adjuster limit my medical treatment?

In the case of an accident, an adjuster has no control over the type or amount of medical treatment you seek. As a part of your settlement, you are entitled to recover money damages for pain and suffering, lost wages, and other damages, including the amount of your medical bills as long as the bills are for a reasonable amount and the treatment was necessary. Often, an adjuster may argue that you are only entitled to a certain number of doctor visits for your particular type of injury. This is merely an attempt to intimidate you into not receiving the medical treatment needed to properly treat your injuries. Adjusters know that your failure to get regular treatment or physical therapy as prescribed by your doctor, may decrease the value of your case.
